North Star quickly reacted to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic by announcing a 3-Tiered approach to helping its members and communities through these uncertain times.

To help members through these  difficult times, North Star is offering

  • 90-day loan extensions
  • Hardship loans for personal expenses
  • Automatic Visa credit limit increases up to $500

North Star is committed to providing programs and services to our farmers and ranchers during these challenging times.

USDA opened signup for the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) on May 26. CFAP will provide $16 billion in direct payments to commodity, specialty crop and livestock producers. USDA’s payment calculator can help farmers and ranchers determine estimated payments. NDSU Extension and the Farm Service Agency hosted a webinar on Thursday explaining the program and sign-up process. That webinar will be archived here.
